When Accidents Happen, We’ll Take Care of You

Eye emergencies can be traumatic, especially if they happen to your child. We are here to offer guidance, support, and prompt care to maximize the chances of a full recovery.

We leave room in our schedule each day that allows us to accommodate emergencies. If your child is experiencing an eye emergency, please call us as soon as you can.

Common Eye Emergencies

Eye emergencies can happen suddenly and without warning. Thankfully, eye care professionals have agreed on some best practices to minimize damage if your child is faced with an eye emergency.

If your child gets chemicals in their eye, the best thing to do is to run their eyes under cool tap water for 15-20 minutes. While this is happening, call us for an emergency appointment or call 911.

Even if you are cautious, accidents can happen. If your child has gotten a foreign object embedded in their eye, do not try to remove it. Please call us as soon as possible or go to the emergency room.

If you notice your child’s eye health declining rapidly, something is probably wrong. Please book an appointment as soon as possible so we can perform a proper assessment and provide appropriate treatment.

No matter what happens, we are here to help. Please call us as soon as possible in the event of an eye emergency, or visit your nearest emergency room.

For emergencies that cannot wait, please call 911.

Our Services

The first step towards safeguarding your child’s vision is booking them an eye exam. When you bring your child in, we’ll test the quality of their vision as well as assess their overall eye health, helping to ensure that any potential eye conditions are caught early and dealt with effectively.

Children’s Eye Exams

Myopia is one of the most common vision problems affecting children around the world. Luckily, we can help you find the most effective way to manage myopia in your child so that they can get back to discovering their world with the clearest vision possible.

Myopia Control

Some eye conditions, like strabismus and amblyopia, can develop early in your child’s life. With vision therapy, we’ll be able to develop a series of exercises specific to the needs of your child that are designed to improve their vision over time.

Vision Therapy

Some eye diseases can develop over the course of a few years without patients exhibiting any symptoms, and can ultimately lead to vision loss. We’re here to diagnose eye diseases as quickly as possible and find effective management tools to protect your child’s sight.
